We were also offered a room upgrad...We had an excellent return stay at the Residence Inn, and as Bonvoy members, were pleased to receive early check-in along with a complimentary snack from the pantry. We were also offered a room upgrade to a theme park view, which was appreciated though worth noting that the corner room was significantly smaller than a standard king. Perfectly fine for a couple, but families might find the space limiting. As for the view, while technically facing the theme park, it was more the backside of the property and included ongoing construction. Not something I’d pay extra for, but a nice perk to receive nonetheless.
Breakfast was well-appointed and satisfying, with a good variety of options. The rooftop pool and hot tub area is a great feature, though it’s definitely in need of shade structures, especially during warmer months.
The most disappointing aspect of our stay was the self-service laundry. While the facility itself was clean and offered a sufficient number of machines, the pricing was excessive at $5 per load to wash and another $5 to dry. To make matters worse, guests are required to download and use a third-party app just to operate the machines, adding unnecessary hassle to an already overpriced service. For context, a comparable property we stayed at in San Diego charged just $1.75 to wash and $1.50 to dry—far more reasonable. Given that Residence Inn is designed to accommodate longer stays and families, this setup feels less like a convenience and more like price gouging. It’s a detail that deserves serious reconsideration.
On the plus side, the hotel’s location is excellent. It’s within walking distance to Disneyland, which helps offset the rather high parking fee, and there’s a 24-hour CVS conveniently located across the courtyard. Despite a few quirks, we’ve stayed here before and will continue to return. The convenience and overall experience make it a reliable choice for Disneyland or convention center visits.Show More
