We traveled primarily because my husband had a professional conference to attend, but we love Chicago, so, booked a few extra days.
I Googled to see if there were less expensive places to stay than the designated block of rooms in the conference hotel. Club Quarters came up and I'm so glad that I followed that lead! We were well pleased with every part of our stay and paid less than half per night than the listed block rate for the conference hotel.
Our location, just across from the Chicago River, was just a few blocks from the conference location. It is in a very walkable area filled with places to grab a bite or a drink; it's also convenient to public transit and taxis and Uber/Lyft are always nearby, too.
As soon as we entered the hotel lobby, we were greeted with a smile and a friendly voice by Pedro, who told us he'd be with us as soon as he finished helping the guests already at the counter with him. (They looked happy when they left, so they must have been as impressed by him as we turned out to be.)
Pedro did quickly help us to check in and make our room keys. He asked if we needed parking information, told us about various hotel perks like the beautiful common areas, watering stations, and the well stocked complimentary coffee station on the second floor. We saw Pedro several times throughout our stay and each time he went out of his way to be friendly and engaging. Every employee we encountered was friendly and helpful, but Pedro stood out.
Our room was snug in a way that we appreciated, compact but not cramped at all. It was spotless, had a comfortable bed with nice linens, good lighting, plenty of storage for luggage and clothing, a well thought out work area with a comfortable desk chair and small but comfortable arm chair, too. (We were able to get a River View and really enjoyed that!)
Over all, it was a great trip to Chicago and a good bit of that was due to finding such a wonderful place to stay. We enjoyed Club Quarters Hotel for its high quality rooms, it's great employees, and wonderful location!Show More
