The location of the Arlo is prime, right on Michigan Ave not far from the Riverwalk tons of shopping and dining options. Check in was very easy and the staff members we interacted with were very plea...The location of the Arlo is prime, right on Michigan Ave not far from the Riverwalk tons of shopping and dining options. Check in was very easy and the staff members we interacted with were very pleasant and helpful. We got a room on the 8th floor facing Michigan Ave, which brings me to my 1st downside. In the evening until around 1am it can be very noisy with traffic, horns, cars reving their engines and just people being loud on the street. If your looking for complete calm and quiet maybe request to stay on the opposite side of Michigan Ave. The room itself was nice, clean comfy king bed, huge flat screen TV and a smart fridge for you to use (keep in mind there's items in the fridge you can purchase, but it's big enough to throw in a few things of your own). The bathroom was standard nice water pressure from the shower. There is a restaurant on property (about last knife) it's ok, better options if you take a stroll outside the hotel. Overall we enjoyed our weekend stay at Arlo. For me unless I can guarantee a room not facing the Michigan Ave noise, this would be a 1 one done stay.Show More

State Street shopping w...Three sisters and I planned a trip to see the Sound of Music. We were so pleased with everything about the Arlo! It's location was perfect, just a few blocks to the theater. State Street shopping was just around the corner as well. From check-in to check-out our stay was wonderful. We were allowed to checkin early. Our room was nice, roomy, and clean. The beds were comfortable. When we checked out the next morning, our bags were tagged and stored. When we returned, we were met with friendly smiles when retrieving our bags and asking for a taxi. The only thing we were disappointed with was that the bar was closed for a private gathering when we returned from dinner. It was my sister's birthday and we talked several times about having a chocolate martini as a nightcap. Overall, we enjoyed our stay and will definately stay again on return trips!Show More
