This hotel is truly stunning! We upgraded from a double to a suite for our six day stay for the modest amount of about $35. Our suite had a living room with TV, sofa, chair, large desk and chair. T...This hotel is truly stunning! We upgraded from a double to a suite for our six day stay for the modest amount of about $35. Our suite had a living room with TV, sofa, chair, large desk and chair. There was a 1/2 bath off of the living room and also a coffee station/bar. The bedroom was very spacious and beautifully appointed with its own TV. the master bath had a large tub and a shower, two sinks and the toilet had a bidet. We had room service several times and it was very good. The entire staff is friendly and helpful. Everyone spoke and understood English. The included breakfast buffet literally has something for everyone no matter your nationality or ethnicity. The hotel is located very close to Old Town and the French Quarter and the surrounding area felt very safe. I (71 YO woman) walked around extensively during the day on my own and it was fine. The Hanoi Hilton prison is literally around the corner from the hotel and you can walk to the large lake in under 10 minutes. There is also a Starbucks across the street from the hotel if you have to have your fix of American filtered coffee. the conference that we attended was entirely in the hotel so trips around town were entirely optional. I did not get a chance to use either the pool or the gym but both looked very nice. The gym is quite large with a wide variety of workout machines and equipment. There is also a beautiful cigar bar on the third floor. We had a wonderful stay and I would highly recommend this hotel.Show More

The staff on reception were helpful and polite as were the bar staff. Breakfast was quite varied and quality of food was alright however we didn’t enjoy how closely the tables were positioned! We had one meal after a long day trip to Ha long bay, the service was alright but could have been better considering there was only one other table occupied and I would describe the food as average. The bar upstairs is more like a club and pretty random but we had a laugh and the staff in there were very attentive - we again were one of only two tables in there! As far as location is concerned we were pretty happy and could walk around easily to everything we wanted to see which is great. The room was clean but a little tired and the gym pretty good. Our highlight whilst in Hanoi was visiting T.U.N.G dining - a very short walk from this hotel. For a special occasion/ splash out meal we would highly recommend and thought was well worth the price. A special shoutout to the restaurant team, especially Hieu Tran, who was exceptionally kind and attentive while serving us delicious Vietnamese coffee. The live musicians performing every night added a wonderful touch — talented, diverse, and made the evenings feel special. The front desk and concierge teams were also fantastic. They handled a small hiccup with our breakfast arrangement swiftly and professionally, making everything smooth and easy.
