We recently stayed here for 4 nights for an anniversary trip. The “spacious king suite” gulf front was gorgeous. Amazing view from the top floor. Amazing view from the top floor. We could see dolphins everyday right from the balcony. Very comfy bed and pillows. Beautiful large walk in shower, soft white robes, table and 2 chairs as well as small sectional couch. The complimentary waters were very convenient. All of the staff were friendly and helpful. Food at the Sandbar was all excellent (pork carnitas nachos, grouper nuggets) and spectacular view of the gulf and sunset. We loved getting to use the Opal Sol next door; they have a great hot tub and fire pits to sit at. Bike rental is included in your resort fee which we took advantage of. The beach is easy to access and chair/cabana rental is run separately ($40/day for 2 chairs and umbrella, $50/day for 2 chairs and cabana). The hotel is a great location for walking anywhere on Clearwater beach. 10 min to the marina, 15-25 to all the best restaurants. Would definitely stay here again.Show More

We went in the "off season" and it was VERY quiet! They assigned us our room and when we went in we knew it wasn't the view we wanted. They assigned us our room and when we went in we knew it wasn't the view we wanted. We had been to this resort/hotel before so we knew we wanted that inlet view! Went back down to the front desk and sheepishly asked for the room view we wanted. Kinda banked on the fact we knew it wasn't a booked soild week. Changing rooms was NO problem and they didn't make us feel bad for asking! Staff is top notch! Always asking if we were ok, did we need anything. Friendly staff who was willing to chit chat or make themselves scarce when it was obviously time to move on. Housekeeping was good the first few days, but GREAT the last few days! Called for a fresh robe and towels...they brought 2 robes and probably 10 towels haha! Pools/hot tubs at both Sands & Sol were clean. Loved being able to have access to both hotels and their amenities! Staff at Sol were awesome also!Show More
