Our suite was comfortable and very big, with a decent sized bathroom. The bathrobes were a nice touch, and the room was quiet and clean. Valet parking was chaotic. We went to grab the car to head out...Our suite was comfortable and very big, with a decent sized bathroom. The bathrobes were a nice touch, and the room was quiet and clean. Valet parking was chaotic. We went to grab the car to head out and nobody answered the receptionists requests for assistance. She ended up just giving us our keys to pull the car out ourselves. When it came to checkout, there were several people waiting to get their car and the attendant seemed a bit overwhelmed. We asked if we could have the keys to put our cases in the car and he wouldn’t give us them so we had to wait. Eventually he opened OUR car for us but kept the keys until we were ready to leave. Really don’t understand why they feel the need to keep cars hostage. Breakfast was disappointing. Cynthia was fabulous but the food was lacking. We ended up going out for breakfast the rest of our stay. Great location to explore Charleston but valet parking and breakfast need looking at.Show More

The complimentary breakfast was excellent. The bed was comfortable and the room was clean and updated. Very nice and I would stay here again. I rated comfort 4 stars for one reason alone - I took 2 showers while I was there and neither time was I able to get the water to warm up to barely above freezing. I like hot showers and thoroughly hated both showers because the water would not warm up no longer how long I left it running. To be fair, I was there on business and only stayed one night, so I did not take the time to report the issue to the front desk. The staff was very friendly and helpful, so they probably would have at least tried to correct the issue if I brought it to their attention at the time I was there. Show More

First impressions, staff unhappy, unfriendly, annoyed at having been disturbed at our arrival. Paying for your right to stay at their hotel also means you will pay for your on site parking space and you will have the inconvenience of having to ask permission for access to your vehicle. Room 114 is very noisy. Room 114 does not have a bathroom exhaust vent and will leave your room steamy after every shower and the staff could care less and are annoyed that you are annoyed. We will look for accommodations elsewhere for our next visit to Charleston and suggest you do the same.Show More

Courteous front desk staff - they were great. The breakfast had a great spread each day. The room was a great size, but the shower had mildew and there was mold on the hand-held shower head. The sink drain was slow, almost flooded brushing my teeth. Lastly, the valet person who pulled our truck around on the last day of our trip was rude. He slammed my truck door when I didn't give him a tip. He held my keys hostage in hopes of a tip. We didn't have to drive anywhere, so we only pulled out our truck on the last day of our trip. Didn't appreciate him slamming my door, he is lucky he wasn't seriously hurt during the incident. Would definitely recommend despite a few setbacks.Show More
