The front desk was very helpful in setting up the reservations a few wee...We decided to make a mini vacation out of a trip to Charleston for a wedding and chose the French Quarter Inn for a home base. The front desk was very helpful in setting up the reservations a few weeks prior to the trip. Even better, they were very accomodating when I had to call to tell them our flight in had been canceled; they even took care of adjusting a restaurant reservation we had made. The hotel itself was three guest room floors built around an expansive central atrium that gives a very open and spacious feeling to the common areas. Breakfast is served on the second floor at comfortable tables around the central space and near the front desk. Evening social hours with wine at the bar adjacent to the breakfast area, cheese and other goodies allow guests to relax prior to walking to one of the many local (and delicious) restaurants. And they also serve milk and cookies in the same area later in the evening! The room was bright, spacious, well cared for and the mattress was one of the most comfortable that I've tried. I slept better in the French Quarter Inn than I had in a while. The accommodations were great. The service was professional and helpful. The hotel was tranquil. The location is adjacent to restaurants, a comedy theater next door and historic sites that Charleston is known for. Nicole was one of the hotel staff who welcomed us our first night and with whom I interacted most in making plans for restaurants, museums and plans for things to do in Charleston. She was friendly, knowledgeable, intimately familiar with the surroundings and helped us find our way to interesting experiences around the area. We are looking forward to our next trip!Show More

We arrived well before check-in but decided to stop at the front desk to get parking recommendations (they have valet) and ask a few other questions. Kim and Neal at concierge were wonderful and arranged it so we could check in early. Additionally, when they found out it was our anniversary we were upgraded, which was unexpected and a lovely bonus. Champagne upon check in felt decadent and set the mood for being spoiled. Neal provided us with a few non-touristy routes around the city when we said it wasn't our first trip to Charleston. Kim was able to book a service for us, and everyone we met from the valet to housekeeping were very friendly and helpful. Our room was great with a view of the bridge and a small balcony. Everything was spotless and high quality. I ordered off their "pillow menu" to try a Buckwheat pillow, which I have been debating buying for home, so it was so fun they had that option! (yes, I'm going to get one now) Upon arriving back to our hotel after exploring the city (it's in a very convenient location) we found a bottle of champagne and a sweet note waiting for us. The hotel has a great breakfast, offers wine and appetizer evenings and warm cookies and milk. There are even more amenities that we didn't have time to try, as well as small little things here and there that really make it worth every penny. Overall, this is a beautiful hotel, in a great location with luxurious amenities. The helpful and friendly employees plus small personal touches made it a memorable trip.Show More

We felt so lucky to have such a beautiful and comfortable room to enjoy on such a dreary day. We even got a chance to sit on the balcony when the clouds parted for a short while. The entire staff was welcoming and accommodating throughout our stay, from managing an early check-in as available, to us finding ourselves in a surprise complimentary upgrade when we arrived to our room. It truly was the nicest hotel room we'd ever stayed in and was a real treat for us while celebrating my husband's 60th birthday. Even though our room was right by the elevator, we never heard any noise at all. The hotel was very quiet. We appreciated the opportunity to chat with other guests over a nice glass of wine and a generous charcuterie service at the evening social hour before we headed out to dinner. The hotel won my husband over even more with a bedtime snack of cookies and milk upon our return, just before 10pm. I loved the availability of the Jelly Belly candies! Waking up to our choice of breakfast delivered to our room was a delicious start to our day; soft scrambled eggs, biscuits and gravy, lots of bacon, and duck fat roasted potatoes. In the morning we didn't feel rushed to leave; a check out time of noon allowed us to relax and soak up every possible minute of a stay that made us feel special and very pampered. Although we just left the hotel two days ago, we have already booked our next stay for my birthday in December. We can't wait to see the inn decorated for the holidays!Show More

Our room (#303) was spacious and spotless. The room amenities were numerous, good quality and very thoughtful. Chocolates, Waters, turn down service and next day weather updates from the staff, to name a few. The location is excellent, we were able to walk everywhere in the Charleston historical district. Charleston is a very safe town, yet I liked that the Hotel also had key locks for elevators and plenty of staff around day/night. A favorite part of our stay was the breakfast option of having it delivered to our room (several delicious choices are included in your stay), or you can enjoy a self-service breakfast buffet it in their dining area. We were also treated to wine and a lovely charcuterie each afternoon, and cookies and milk/coffee in the evenings. Both were great opportunities to meet the other guests and share travel stories. Little things like this make the French Quarter Inn unique. I truly recommend this Hotel for your stay in Charleston . My husband and I had a wonderful stay !Show More
