The Archer Austin served in pure champion form.” I cannot express enough, in tennis or any other metaphorical way, the gratitude I feel for my stay at the Archer Austin. From parking to check-in, dining, spacious room, and cleanliness, design, and the attentiveness of all staff, the Austin made my writing retreat and break so worthwhile that I plan to make this my quarterly spot. Without question, Jillian and Nathan’s game-time performance was one for the record books — professional, experienced, courteous, caring, warm, and accommodating. Jillian did not hesitate or pause in answering my questions with full knowledge of hotel operations. He is an asset to the hotel. The rooms were clean, and the bed was plush and comfortable – great sleep. The quietness on the Palm Street side of the hotel allowed me to concentrate and create freely. The fitness center had everything I needed. The option of valet or complimentary parking, and the hotel's location just steps from both high-end and budget-friendly stores, restaurants, and activities, plus a nearby day spa, were unexpected perks. I will be sure to pass the word to friends and colleagues. I have “stay-cayed” at several hotels in Austin, but now, the Archer is it! – the Wimbledon of Austin. A most stay!Show More

We have quarterly board meetings at this hotel. This trip ..they no longer use a top sheet under the duvet. Have to ask for one....I didn't get an answer when I asked if duvet cover changed after each...We have quarterly board meetings at this hotel. This trip ..they no longer use a top sheet under the duvet. Have to ask for one....I didn't get an answer when I asked if duvet cover changed after each guest. They closed the restaurant and bar for a private party...we normally gather there to discuss the day's meetings. We were not made aware it would be closed. Then we also had to deal with the loud party goers returning to their rooms after 10 pm. Our meetings are over about 12:30 so I always request a 1 pm check out and EVERY time they lock us out of our room- We go get a luggage cart and can't get back in and the maids on the floor won't let us in, Food served during meetings is not great- scrambled eggs not edible and lunch is always chicken something that is hard and dry. Thank goodness we ate outside the hotel for our 2 dinners this meeting. The valet service is the high point of our stay. They are great and they offer a car to take around the shopping which we utilized due to rain. I learned after our second stay I had to ask not to placed above the dumpsters & freight docks. It was do loud even with out noise machine we could hear the trucks all night. There is a Westin just a bit from this hotel and I keep thinking they will move the meetings.Show More

I was taking my son for a funday with Stranger Things VR, milkshakes, putt putt, and some last minute gifts. I have stayed here many times, but it was my kiddo’s first time there. He loves Christmas more than anything, their decor is always so elegant, with coffee and hot chocolate bar for us to enjoy next to the fireplace. He loved it! We come back from our day out to the sweetest gift! An amazing home made card hoping we had a wonderful time greeted us, and a surprise of snack and drinks for us to enjoy courtesy of the Acher’s hosts. It was such a kind and thoughtful gesture, I just had to gush. The Archer Hotel is truly the best spot to go for any occasion, whether it’s family events or a night out! I already booked my next stay in their gorgeous suite for the Rock Rose Block Party on New Years! If you’re looking for a hotel with suites as sweet as their hosts, this is the place! -BriShow More

One of the main reasons we selected this hotel over others in the area is the free parking. That said, the location of this hotel is exceptional. That said, the location of this hotel is exceptional. So many places to eat and shop which you can walk to. Knowing the 3-8th floors require your key card is a great security feature of the hotel. The room oddly felt big and small at the same time. The bathroom and shower were very specious. We slept well here. Complementary tea in the morning was a great perk. Although I didn't get to take advantage of the pool during my stay, the pool area is aesthetically pleasing. We were able to request a microwave delivered to our room. When we contacted the front desk, the microwave was delivered to us within 5 minutes. Hotel staff was friendly, helpful and all went above and beyond when assistance was requested. We booked this hotel through our Chase points, and it was a good way to use our points. Check the Archer out today!Show More
