He has a rare mix of professionalism and warmth that makes the experience feel effortless—and fun. The entire Proper staff is wonderful, but Giulio has a way of quietly going the extra mile. He’s incredibly kind, attentive without ever being overbearing, and always seems to anticipate what we need before we ask. Whether I am there for a meeting, happy hour, or a night out, he consistently makes sure everything runs smoothly. Because of him (and the amazing team around him), the Proper has become our go-to spot. It’s the kind of place where you know you’re in good hands, and Giulio is a big reason why. Having stayed at Marriott properties worldwide, I can honestly say that top to bottom every aspect of the Austin Proper was top tier. The valets that helped us were incredible (thanks Kendra for the cold waters and helping with our luggage!). Edison was SO kind and welcoming when he brought Champagne and snack up — and thank you Natasha for thinking of us and making the stay extra special! Nicholas went above and beyond to help us find special places to eat and drink! The front desk staff were super helpful and welcoming as well - even remembering us and asking about specific details of our stay. We plan to book again and turn this into an annual tradition.
