There's a couple of nice restaurants / bars close by (we particularly enjoyed Lucys and Cafe Ernst). The decor is nice, the hotel is clean and staff are friendly /helpful. Bathroom amenities are good and plenty of towels. Only negatives from our stay - not enough storage. There is a small hanging area with about 8 coat hangers and one shelf. We had to use the spare bed and our cases as storage which wasn't ideal. Also we did not get a full housekeeping service at any time during our 7 night stay - we were told it would be every three days when we checked in. We only had our bins emptied on one day (at my request) and replacement towels on two occasions. About a 15-20 minute walk to the French Quarter / Bourbon St. which was fine for us - we like walking. Overall a good stay and we would return if we visited New Orleans again.Show More

The hotel was a very peaceful getaway from the craziness on Bourbon St. The bed was comfy and the room was clean and well maintained. They have a happy hour ($5 drinks) at their bar and they do offer a small menu BLD. There is also a small area where you can purchase water/snacks, it is self checkout (use the pad on the wall). I also really enjoyed where the hotel was located. Walk 5-10 minutes in one direction and you are in the middle of the party walk 5-10 minutes in the opposite direction and you are shopping at the Riverwalk. I think the WW2 museum area was maybe a 15 min walk. We will most definitely stay here again.Show More

Most importantly, the Cambria has - hands down - the best hotel staff in New Orleans. Although I have enough Marriott and Hilton points to stay free at any of their branded hotels (and have stayed at quite a few), the Cambria is my go to because of Sharon at the front desk - she has welcomed us like family every trip after our first one and she’s the crown jewel of an excellent hotel.Show More
