Let’s stay with the positives, this place is located in a great position, very close to the Subway system, we were able to be home from the Ice Hockey Arena within 10 minutes easily. The pictures of ...Let’s stay with the positives, this place is located in a great position, very close to the Subway system, we were able to be home from the Ice Hockey Arena within 10 minutes easily. The pictures of this establishment are clearly very very old or photoshopped as this place is nothing like the pictures. The rooms are very old, very dull and in great need of restoration. The bathroom is cramped with the shower recess and bathtub being one, so if you are elderly or unsteady on your feet then don’t stay here as you may fall getting out of the shower. The carpets are old, worn out and stained throughout this establishment and the entire place smells old and musty. The lift is old, cramped, slow and in need of repair/replacement, we were on 4.th floor and was quicker to walk down the stairs carrying our luggage. The breakfast, if you can call it that, was poor at best and consisted of 3 choices of cereal and toast. The staff were disinterested in any questions or queries and did not really offer assistance at all. Basically, if there is no other available accomodation then that would be the reason you’d stay here and then only for a night. I’d have camped in a tend rather than stay here to be honest.show more

The hotel is very central close to public transport hubs including skytrain and...We had an initial hiccough upon check in but it was quickly resolved by the efficient polite and courteous staff here. The hotel is very central close to public transport hubs including skytrain and local buses to help explore the city and further afield,. Plenty of places to people watch, access to various eateries and activities. The hotel facilities were as expected nothing fancy but for a two night stay perfect. after all you want to explore the city not spend time in hotel right. Comfy bed , shower and wash facilities were ok. The lighting could have been a bit better in the room but only a very small niggle. Breakfast had no hot option but had waffles, toast pastries yoghurt etc and drinks, What we paid was i feel reasonable value for money considering the location . Noise level from outside was minimal. All in all thoroughly recommend for short stayshow more

Having had a slip & hard fall in a bathtub/shower in another hotel in Vancouver a few weeks earlier (prior to a 14 day cruise) I appreciated the non slip mat provided with the bath. Being able to store our luggage at the hotel the day we checked out was also appreciated.show more
