From the moment we checked in we were treated brilliantly , from the check in staff to the ladies in the breakfast room and room attendants we were given exceptional service. When we asked for recommendations for a good local restaurant we were given some options and upon choosing ,the gentleman on reception called and booked on our behalf . It was a good recommendation by the way and the restaurant was just what we were looking for after a 14 hour journey . Breakfast was really good and the selection of both hot and cold food was very good quality . The smoked salmon in particular was exceptional and my daily favourite The ladies in the breakfast room also ensured that we were given plenty of choice and if something ran out it was replenished immediately . The ladies were friendly , efficient and very charming . Our room was at the rear of the hotel however we had a good view of the Dome of the Duomo which was spectacular during the evening . The room itself was very clean and stylish with classic Italian furnishings and decorations . The bathroom was very large and very clean with a large bath , a lovely powerful walk in shower and bidet. Ample wardrobe space and dressing table made our stay very comfortable and nice touches such as multiple charging stations made my day . I would describe this hotel as classic period Italian which is my preference over the modern plastic palace hotels that are on offer elsewhere . Location is to die for , with a very short walk to the Duomo and all of the other attractions were only minutes away There are dozens of good restaurants within minutes and the upmarket shops are on the doorstep. Two great Gelataria are just around the corner too I couldn’t think of a better location for ambience access and safety Being on a busy street you would imagine that there would be street noise however the hotel itself was very quiet and our room in particular was a peaceful oasis. Would I recommend this Hotel?Show More

We didn’t use it, but it’s nice that the breakfast room turns into a study where people can take meetings. They also have tea and coffee available there. The afternoon aperitif in the lobby is also fun. We needed a gluten free breakfast option, and they were great about it. We took a family room (two anointed rooms) and it worked out great.Show More
