We booked a double room in the Golden Tower hotel for our five-night stay in October and we couldn't have been happier with our choice! The hotel is in an excellent location, just a few minutes' walk from beautiful Duomo and yet as soon as you return at the end of a packed day exploring, turning into the Piazza Strozzi feels quiet and calm. We had a double room which was well appointed, clean and spacious. The bed was incredibly comfortable (again, this was very welcome for weary explorers). The shower was bliss, with fluffy towels, big cosy soft dressing gowns, and an excellent hair dryer. Every single member of staff we meat was polite, friendly, knowledgeable and keen to help - from the team on reception to the excellent breakfast hosts. Breakfast was a feast! From wonderful pastries and cakes, to waffles, pancakes, toast, fresh fruits, yoghurts, meats and cheeses, cereal, omelettes, and even a lovely little cooked breakfast option. We were spoilt for choice. I also want to mention housekeeping - we didn't once see them to thank them for taking such good care of our room, but they deserve a mention for the excellent cleanliness standards they maintain. We couldn't have been happier with our choice of hotel for our stay in this magnificent city, and were honestly sad to leave.Show More

From the moment Amanda welcomed us to jumping in our taxi to come home, we couldn’t have had a better place to stay. Amanda sat down with us when we arrived, we were offered and accepted a coffee and tea as she showed us all the places to go, recommendations for places to eat, all marked on a city map. Our room was beautiful and so comfortable. The bathroom was wall to wall marble and beautifully equipped. The bed was very comfortable and there was a useful mini bar. Breakfast was made a delight thanks to Marianna; she remembered our order after one day, and nothing was too much trouble. She was always smiling, super attentive and made sure we had everything we wanted. The omelettes were cooked to order and everything fresh and regularly refilled. We fully intend to come back to Florence, and when we do we will be returning to the Golden Tower Hotel. Thank you so much!Show More

The front desk staff is very knowledgeable of the area and helpful with recommendations and made calls on our behalf. They also checked to see how our experience was when we returned which demonstrated that it was about more than just doing their job. I highly recommend this hotel.
