The manager greeted us and escorted us ...We just checked out of La Gemma and I couldn't wait to write this review. From the moment we arrived the staff was amazing. The decor is STUNNING and unique. The manager greeted us and escorted us to the restroom when we looked lost. We arrived early and were greeted with a complimentary welcome cocktail, which we enjoyed with lunch. The club sandwich was recommended and it was out of this world! BEST sandwich we've ever had, truly. All of the food we had was amazing, including avocado toast for breakfast. We also ate at their Michelin restaurant, Luca's and it was AMAZING as well and appropriately priced. We stayed in the junior suite and it spacious and so comfortable. We've been traveling for 2 weeks and stayed in 2 hotels prior to La Gemma and this was, by far, the most comfortable bed. This made our stay in Florence so restful. The staff went above and beyond for us, exceeding all exceptions. Our room was a little warmer than we preferred and when we mentioned this to the front desk they sent someone to our room immediately to lower the temperature. We later found out it was the owner who helped us. The location is PERFECT as well. We loved our time in Florence and we couldn't have been happier with our stay at la Gemma. They will also be opening hotels in other cities as well, beginning with Milan. Without question, we will definitely stay at a La Gemma hotel again in the future. FANTASTICO:)Show More

A quick look into the kitchen shows how smoothly and passionately everything runs, a clear reflection of the hotel’s true sense of hospitality. The atmosphere was calm and relaxing, supported by the thoughtful design and the spotless cleanliness, everything felt fresh and almost new. Despite being right in the heart of Florence, our room was perfectly quiet thanks to excellent window insulation, allowing us to rest peacefully after long days in the city. Every detail seemed carefully considered, creating a consistent sense of comfort and care, exactly what a great stay should feel like. Can’t wait to come back.Show More

The General Manager, Gian Luca, was amazing. He let me know when he was showing us to our rooms that if there was anything at all that we needed, all we needed to do was ask, and we did. The first day of our trip I broke my foot at one of the museums and not only did they provide me with a cab to the ER but a wheel chair during my stay when crutches were too awkward/dangerous to use on the cobble stone streets. Likewise, Edwardo was able to provide a plastic bag to cover my cast so that I could shower without worrying about getting my cast wet. The breakfast was fabulous! The food was amazing, plentyful and cooked to order. The service was top-notch and thoughtful - they even brought me a stool on which to prop my foot. We are visting again in December and have already booked our room. Looking forward to a wonderful stay.Show More

The room was excellent and comfortable, and we thank you for the proseco and fruit. Your breakfast was outstanding!!!!!! The eggs benedict should have a Michelin star, thats how delicious they were. The restaurant was superb. There is no doubt in my mind next year you will see us again. The location was perfect, and we have been fortunate enough to see 5 places in Italy, and Florence is at the top. It's beautiful and so is your hotel, you made our trip extra special!!!!!
