This review is not about the hotel or hotel staff because the hotel staff has always been excellent and still is. This review is about casino staff as in 2 bar tenders and 2 servers. This review is about casino staff as in 2 bar tenders and 2 servers. I don’t mind naming these persons considering how they openly gossip about other coworkers in front of customers and complain about their jobs in front of customers. To start I’ve been going to Silverton since it was boomtown and years later became a club member. The current graveyard bartender Josh is nothing more than an ungrateful complaining employee and talks bad of his managers, coworkers, and the company he’s been this way a very long time around 15 years, when told we don’t want to hear it he still continues. Saying he hates his job and hates the place. Next is another bartender Bea who has not served the 5 of us at different times more than 3 times over 7 months and is very rude. Then there is Donna who has not served all 5 of us at the tables for over 2 years. Sherell a server has attitude and failed to bring change for a $20 back so now we refuse to tip her at all. Then there’s Noria who also talks about coworkers and customers in front of customers for gossip saying untrue comments. All of these persons talk and gossip where customers hear their nonsense and disrespect their own coworkers to the extent of taking tips from areas not their own as they say. Employee disrespect and bragging about what they do is not something customers need to hear. Bad mouthing the company they work for is a definite no no. Non of us care about their drama and anyone that hates their job needs to be replaced by good. Donna and Josh have been there long enough and should have better respect to customers but instead they think they are allowed to get away with anything. On the good side all the other employees are top notch and very respectful and appreciate their jobs. Managers have been informed before of this behavior but these employees don’t care or respect. These people are hired to do a job and not start or talk drama, if you are gambling you are supposed to be served not ignored. If you can’t do a job then get another job… it’s simple…Show More

I never stayed there before, but I frequented their es...My wife and I were stranded, looking for a place to stay for the night and the first thing that came to mind was the Silverton Casino and Hotel. I never stayed there before, but I frequented their establishment many times. When I phoned their reservations desk, I was greeted by a female by the name of Christie. She was so gracious and showed a great deal of concern with our dilemma. After finding out that we were from Hawaii our conversation became more cordial. She said she lived in Hawaii too. She set us up with a room and to our surprise it was immaculate and very elegant looking. Everything you could ever want in a room was provided, neat, clean and in it's right place. The next day we went to eat at the cafe and the food was great. Next, we were sitting in the casino and the security guard walked up and talked to us. His name was Ron and he too was from Hawaii. The atmosphere at Silverton is like no other, with the large aquarium, the sporting good store and the friendly people at the casino. I also like the numerous restaurants, to which to pick from. All in all I would rate Silverton Casino a go to place, and if you remember I said I never stayed there before, well I'm going to make it a point to stay there whenever I'm in Vegas. I already told my friends about the Silverton and advised them that they should try it. Oh, one more thing, the shuttle driver was also from Hawaii, go figure, if they work there, it must be a great place to stay.Show More

Took a little while t...We couldn't have had a better stay. Our casino host, Curt, and all of the staff at Silverton are to be commended for their hospitality and welcoming atmosphere. We felt at home. Took a little while to get the lay of the land, but once we did it wasn't bad getting around at all. I actually made it to the far end of the casino the last night we were there and saw how big the place REALLY is! Everyone from the hotel front desk to the room attendants to the valet guys were just so accommodating and easy to work with. Then add in the casino staff and the cage folks and it made for a fun time. We normally like to make it down to Magnolia's at the 4-Queens. But with Sundance, we didn't miss it! That place has such good food and huge portions! Their breakfasts were wonderful. And the dinner we had was awesome. (the corn chowder is to die for!!!). Prices were very reasonable. Mi Casa was perfect for us our first night. We wanted something different and we got it there. The people were very friendly and the food was outstanding. It was a great culinary start to our week! Prices were comparable to other places we've been Twin Creeks, what can I say about that place? The ambiance was excellent. The servers were amazing. And the food? Well, it pains me to say it but that was the best ribeye I've ever had. The sides were plentiful and tasted wonderful. We have found a new home at Silverton.Show More
