That being said, I did not find many of the reviews to paint an accurate picture.
My wife and I stayed for 4 nights, visiting family. We have stayed in many Hilton properties. I have never felt the need to leave a review, as I generally agree with what I have read. In this case, based on all of the stellar reviews, we expected more.
The staff was very friendly and accommodating.
The hotel is not in the heart of anything, although it is a quiet area, industrial neighborhood. It is a 20-minute walk to the popular downtown Las Olas area, past the public library, where the homeless sleep. The common areas and rooms are basic and clean, quite adequate. We found the beds to be very uncomfortable, causing poor sleep, not a common issue for us. The shower was luke warm. We did ask the person at the desk if they could do anything about it, they were very friendly, saying they would notify engineering. We did notice a difference the next day, but the temp was still hit or miss, and only once what I would consider a normal shower temp.
The breakfast was the normal fare, although a bit below average in presentation, freshness, and taste. The staff was very friendly and kept everything clean and filled. We did visit the bar, in the corner of the breakfast dining area. It is small and doesn't have much of a bar feel, but serves the purpose. Brittany's drink service was great, and the food looked and smelled good, and was according to those we spoke to.
The pool area looked nice and clean, although the hot tub appeared out of order, covered with a tarp. We did not inquire on the status.
Again, I believe this hotel is a good value, but I do not believe it is a hidden gem, or in the heart of the area. I would consider the property a good budget friendly option.Show More
