Los restaurantes ofrecen comidas muy ricas, y como mi hija es celíaca prestaban atención a ese detalle, ofrecían opciones y avisaban en cocina. El desayuno buffet vale mucho la pena, en relación al precio y calidad es preferible a la cafetería que compras por separado y terminás pagando maso menos lo mismo. La atención en los restaurantes fue increíble: Ramón en el buffet, un genio y una señora divina en la cafetería que no recuerdo su nombre. My 7-year-old daughter became severely ill on our third day at the resort and had to be hospitalized. We had not left the resort until that point; our family dined only at the poolside restaurant on the property, so we can only gather that something my daughter either ate or drank at that restaurant caused her sudden and violent illness. The evening before my daughter became ill, we had an odd incident with our waiter at the pool restaurant. He had a particular accent and since we have close friends from that same area we tried talking with the waiter, but he just ignored my husband & I. He was focused on my daughter, and the way he spoke to her and looked at her made me uncomfortable. Previous to this, it just so happened that when we arrived at the property to check-in, we noticed a woman had vomited near the entrance. Recalling that made us wonder if this lady had also became ill from something she ingested at the resort. Unfortunately our stay leading up to our daughter's severe illness was not enjoyable. At the beach right in front of the resort, I stepped on a broken hypodermic needle - I was shocked to have come across this in the sand there, but nonetheless was relieved it was myself and not one of my young children who had stepped on it. Another unexpected part of our stay that we found pretty disappointing was the pool area was very full and many of the people there were on day passes. This filled up the loungers and my family had trouble finding a place to sit every time. We had been really looking forward to our family vacation at this resort, and after all of the amazing reviews we had read, it sounded like the perfect place for us to spend some much-needed family time together. But the reality was much different for us, and as much as we tried to like this property and stay positive, we found it difficult to find many good points and we are certainly not left with the kind of memories we were all hoping for.Show More

The view was great. 2 full bathrooms in our unit. Restaurant was delicious, we had several meals on-site. Breakfast buffet was well appointed and a good value for all that was offered (including custom omelette, etc). The gift shop was pricey, but had a nice selection of clothing and jewelry and souvenirs for children. There are 2 pools, including an adult-only pool. The grounds are immaculate- there were several people working on grounds maintenance to keep the plants and paths looking great. The beach is private, smooth, and accessible. The hotel is located near the port, so you can watch cruise ships slowly come in and out. Location (with a vehicle) is excellent- just minutes to las olas blvd activity, restaurants, shops, etc, but the hotel itself is set apart and very private. It was great for just my husband and I to have a relaxing time, but would also be well suited for families- pickleball/tennis, pool, mini golf, volleyball, etc. and great beach for playing on. Many hotels in Lauderdale may seem like they are beachfront, but many have a road in between, or are located on the strip where there is noise and tourists wandering the beaches. This property was proper beachfront, felt very private, quiet, and comfortable. Quick and easy to get to the airport.Show More

That being said when we got to the Lago Mar all of that went away and it was one of the most amazing places we have ever stayed. When we walked in the gentleman at the front desk said it's alright you're here now and we'll take care of you, and they certainly did. What do you do when you're staying on the beach and have no luggage?...go to the Resort store and buy swim suits and a change of clothes! The girls in the store were so amazing and helpful. We were starving so we stopped in the Soda shop and met Fran from Brooklyn. She keeps the shop in line and we had some amazing food and conversation. There are security at the front gate, we always felt safe, the whole resort is beautiful and clean. My daughter was able to run freely without worry and had many activities to do. (Mini golf, chess, playground, private beach, pool, live music). The main restaurant onsite provides fine dining, the staff provided some of the best service I have ever had, and the food was fresh, cooked to perfection and amazing every night. We also ate and had drinks at the gazebo bar by the pool were we created some amazing friendships with Kelli, Dany and Chuck. The resort is family owned and everyone and I mean EVERYONE was so friendly and treated us like family. The housekeepers greeted us every time we past them in the hallways, the servers and wait staff, the concierge, the front desk associates, just an amazing place with amazing people. If you are looking for a family friendly place that won't disappoint in quality or service, this is the gem you have been looking for!
