10/10 Exceptional
Everything was great until we checked out and discovered we were overcharged for the beach equipment. Luigi, I believe was his name, told our group that each lawn chair was $15 and the umbrella was also $15. To our surprise, our folio was charged $32 for the umbrella rental. Gabby at the front desk said she would have her manager speak with the staff at the beach rental area, and we might receive a credit on my card. We’ll wait and see if the hotel follows through. We feel it’s not good for the staff to quote us one thing and be charged another.
We felt it was frustrating to be quoted one price and charged another, and we believe the front desk should have resolved the discrepancy on the spot rather than questioning the issue.

9/10 Fun spot - we will back.
Loved our stay here for three nights - comfortable but a little dated. Rooms were expensive but we were there during spring break. We didn’t realize how far away from everything it was and spent a fortune on Uber (next time we will rent a car.) However, saying that, it is a really cool spot, especially being on the beach. The staff at the poolside bar were wonderful and took really good care of us. The buffet breakfast set us up for the day and again, staff here were awesome. Loved the orchids and the iguana’s. We will come back.

10/10 Great for families with small kids
Staff was very attentive and friendly, especially with my toddler. The park in the middle of the beach is fantastic for the kids as well as the nearby toilettes to change or clean the kids before heading back to the room. The pool was heated during the rainy days and the open restaurant close to the pool let us have food with no need of changing our garments. We would definitely come back.

10/10 Relaxing sun and fun.
Just finished my yearly 2 week vacation at Largo Mar I have been going there since 2014 there was a problem with the air conditioning first night and James the manager called and offered to move us overnight however the humidity was low and we stayed in the room, next morning first thing the HVAC guys replaced the unit. I love the restaurant, especially Jane and Claudia I do miss Jamie, but Kevin was wonderful and accommodating on the beach. However found that the room wasn’t kept as clean as other stays.

9/10 A great relaxing self contained vacation supported by great staff.
It’s a self enclosed bubble. They have everything you need in on place. Private beach, nice restaurants great pools. A clean comfortable place to stay and a staff dedicated to keep you happy. What more does one need.

The beach and pool area were great. It was like a paradise!
The music on the adult pool area was fantastic and relaxing. We really enjoyed the stay and can highly recommend the hotel.

10/10 Great resort
Great overall resort with an Old Florida feel. We love the adult pool, outdoor bar, private beach and close access to watch the cruise ships depart. We came this year pre cruise for the second year and plan to stay again next year. Giulio, our waiter at breakfast was friendly and provided outstanding customer service. The breakfast buffet was delicious and there was plenty of variety including made to order eggs.

10/10 Best Family Hotel and Restaurant!
Reginol handled our large party really well! The food choices were plentiful! Very easy with kids featuring a large playground and sandy beach right in front of your table. Drinks were great too! He was attentive and hd a great attitude! I hope you get a chance to dine with him at the beautiful Lago Mar!

10/10 Great Family Atmosphere
We always love our family trips to Lago Mar. the grounds are wonderful and I can tell they have been updating the rooms. Reginol at the restaurant was particularly helpful to us yesterday allowing me to sit in a place where I could watch my young kids on the playground and still relax myself. So appreciated!!

Overall a good experience. One thing was disappointing during our check in - we expected breakfast to be included and found out there is an active miscommunication between the hotel management and booking.com in regard to that. Not very nice.

We have been going to the Lago Mar for years, great resort! Evan in the restaurant is the best! Great beach and fun to watch the cruise ships come and go. Lots of activities to keep children busy. Rooms are great for couples with children. Convenient to the airport.

8/10 Great views and comfy beds, but the resort felt like it was still waiting for its five-star makeover—maybe next season!
I had a delightful stay at this hotel! The views were absolutely stunning—especially watching the cruise ships depart from the beach. It felt like I was living in a postcard! The beds were so incredibly comfortable that I half-expected to wake up in a five-star dreamland, complete with fluffy clouds and breakfast served by unicorns.
Overall, everything was great, but I did expect a bit more for the price. It was a pleasant experience, but I think there’s room for improvement to match the premium cost. Maybe a complimentary cocktail served by a friendly parrot? Just a thought! All in all, I left with a smile and a few great memories—just with a little more room for sparkle!

10/10 Perfect location and the most wonderful place to stay.
The location close to the port is exceptional and serves as a brilliant base for trips around Ft Lauderdale, Miami and pre cruise. There’s always something to do and to watch. The resort and its huge private beach have a unique atmosphere that makes for a great stay. It’s everything you need and in a perfect relaxing way. We’ve now been four times and don’t look elsewhere when we visit. Immaculate housekeeping and great facilities complement the property and the staff are so welcoming. 6/10 It’s like staying on a cruise ship from the early 90’s
Private beach access is convenient. Location wise, it’s close to the cruise ports but a 20 minute uber ride from the river place or Las Olas shopping area. Breakfast has a lot of offerings and the folks working the kitchen are friendly and helpful. Beds and bedding are comfortable.

Comfortable, clean family rooms, lots of entertainment for all ages, right on the beach. Very friendly and efficient staff - great with children. Lovely pools, plenty of chairs/sun beds and towels. Free parking. Good quality food in restaurants.

The property landscape was very beautiful! Great staff at the outside bar . Loved the free laundry facilities . Nice hot water and water pressure in the rooms! Property had a nice old Florida charm about it. Liked having the room cleaned - don’t see that much anymore .

The property is absolutely stunning. Sitting right on the beach and minutes away from watching the cruise ships sail out of Port Everglades it’s just simply special.

10/10 The service throughout the hotel was exceptional all the staff were amazing and very helpful.

I expected the room would be nice, but I had an ocean front view overlooking an oasis pool. Plus, it was much larger than I expected with a pull out sofa bed yet. It's rare to have my vacation stays exceed my fantasies.
