It was a truly exceptional experience then so, naturally, it was an easy decision where to stay when we returned to Florida again this year. Communication prior to our stay with Mr Katz was effortless. He replied promptly and exceeded our expectations in recognising our loyalty by offering us a few kind gestures which we appreciated. He also rectified a small mistake with our booking which was the fault of our travel agent but he dealt with this himself and provided reassurance that we would have the type of room we prefer regardless of the travel agent mistake. We were very grateful for his assistance here when the travel agents weren’t providing much help on their end in the UK. We stayed 3 nights this time before our cruise and we loved every minute. Room 843 met our needs in every way. We loved the direct pool access. The pool area is kept very clean with towels regularly replenished and staff reorganising the furniture when guests are finished with their sunbed or table/chairs. This hotel thinks of everything. The small gestures that go a long way. For example, we left behind our razors and shaving foam. I expected to have to rush out to Publix before our dinner reservation but thought I would check with the front desk first if they have anything to purchase. They promptly sent a colleague to our room with complimentary razors and shaving foam. Breakfast was stunning as it was during our last visit. The NY bagel sandwich was delicious, as well as the Cornflake french toast. It goes without saying that we will definitely return to this hotel when we’re next in Fort Lauderdale - hopefully with friends and family so they can share our love for the Hyatt Centric.Show More

I stayed at Hyatt Centric Fort Lauderdale and although the room and property was alright, I was charged a $50 late checkout fee, which was very frustrating and disappointing. I am a Hyatt Explorist m...I stayed at Hyatt Centric Fort Lauderdale and although the room and property was alright, I was charged a $50 late checkout fee, which was very frustrating and disappointing. I am a Hyatt Explorist member, and I have never been charged a late checkout fee before. On the morning of checkout, I spoke directly with the front desk, let them know I was coming down, and was never informed that I would be charged a fee if I checked out shortly after, but I assured we were just packing up, as my friend had a bloody nose. Despite this, I was charged $50 for checking out only 40 minutes late, without any prior warning or consent. Afterward, I was told by the manager that the housekeeper tried to contact me and did not receive a response, which is simply not accurate. I promptly answered the front desk, and the housekeeper arrived about 5 minutes before I left the room, at which point I clearly told her that I was checking out immediately. Additionally, housekeeping was already cleaning the room next door, so there was no inconvenience or delay to operations. I usually leave positive reviews and am not someone who complains, but this situation felt like the hotel was trying to make a quick buck, especially given the lack of clear communication. I understand there may have been a communication issue on both ends, but the way this was handled afterward was very disappointing. I called the hotel shortly after to try to resolve this and was told the manager would do their best to take care of it and call me back, but no one ever followed up, which reflects on the quality of service. Overall, this experience left a very poor impression. Based on how this was handled, I am very disappointed and would not recommend staying here.Show More

This hotel changed a one-night stay into we have to go back and visit the city !!! This hotel is nestled between the Riverwalk and Las Olas Blvd! EVERYTHING is within walking distance. The staff are very nice, friendly, and welcoming. The hotel was very clean. The lobby is very large with a lot of seating areas. There’s a restaurant on site with outdoor seating that faces Las Olas Blvd. We arrived very early at the hotel after getting off of a cruise. The hotel stored our luggage for us until our room was ready. We arrived at 9 a.m. and our room wasn’t ready until 1 p.m., four hours before normal check-in time. While we waited for a room to become available, the hotel gave us access to the 8th floor. The 8th floor is where the pool and fitness area are located! We were treated like guests before we were technically guests! The room was an amazing room with a great view of the city!!! Floor-to-ceiling windows!! The balcony overlooked a portion of the Riverwalk and a portion of Las Olas Blvd. The room was very up-to-date. USB ports were located around the room, streaming capabilities on the TV, and a mini fridge and coffee maker. The room was very clean. We were just passing through Ft. Lauderdale for one night, but because of this hotel and its staff, we are coming back to spend more time in the city! JP, Ash, the valet team, and Jeffery are just a few of the team members that stand out, but the entire team was amazing!Show More
