At 1 am on the night of our stay the hotel staff started pounding on our door telling us w...I have been a long time fan of Holiday Inn Express but after this experience will never stay with them again. At 1 am on the night of our stay the hotel staff started pounding on our door telling us we were checked in to the wrong room and needed to give him our credit card and move rooms. All of us had been asleep and this felt very unsettling, unsafe and suspicious. Upon calling the front desk we were told that the person who checked us in put us in the wrong room and we needed to move. Clearly this was not our fault and I still can’t understand why the hotel didn’t solve the issue for the other guests and needed to wake us up at 1 am. Needless to say we were very unsettled and did not sleep well afterwards. The next morning we asked to speak to the hotel manager to express our concerns related to customer service, safety and asking to take our credit card and ID in the middle of the night. After waiting over an hour for him to meet us we were insincerely told it was a “training issue”. There was no apology or offer to rectify from a customer service perspective. My biggest concern is that he didn’t seem at all concerned about how we felt from a safety perspective and how pounding on the door at 1 am may feel to three female travelers. Our overall stay was awful and put us way behind on our daily activities and ruined the beginning of our vacation. There are many other options for hotels in this area. While he was polite, the check-in felt rushed and impersonal. He didn’t confirm our room type, and once we got to the room, we realized it wasn’t what we had booked. I called down to clarify, and was told there wasn’t much of a difference — and that if we wanted to change rooms, we’d need to come back down and likely wait. The response felt dismissive and unhelpful. So we packed up our things and returned to the front desk — and that’s when we met Vesna. From the moment she greeted us, the experience completely changed. She was warm, professional, and solution-focused. She apologized for the mix-up, quickly resolved the issue, and made us feel genuinely cared for. Even though a small adjustment had to be made, her exceptional customer service made all the difference. Vesna turned what could have been a frustrating experience into a pleasant one. Very close to the airport which was a super big relief! Tip for those new to FLL- meet uber at departures- and elevator one floor up from arrivals- traffic at the arrivals is soo bad. This saved us so much time- not one was at the arrivals- it was 11pm. The breakfast was fantastic. Ate by the pool and it was clean! Lots of cruisers! We were going on our first cruise- mom and two teens. THANK YOU GOOOODESS I spoke to Mac at the Check out to tell him about the great experience! He asked about boarding tags and I totally forgot to print. Mac not only printed- folded- we had to leave bc uber was there- he showed my son how to do it and sent us on our way with a roll of tape! This seems to be a big spot for cruisers and I will be back Forsure!Show More

Not only did he accommodate my early arrival, but he also cleared space in the kitchen so I could refrigerate my famous cake. Mac was thorough, ensuring the cake was secure, properly labeled, and even walked me to the kitchen. I've never met anyone so attentive to every detail. The atmosphere and room were exceptional—quiet with a lovely pool view. He also shared some great local hotspot suggestions. What a war m welcome before a festive day!Show More
