Arrival: Arrived by Uber; no doorman or porters when we arrived Check in: Rather slow check in process Room (673 corner king): Very nice corner king room. Appliances are all outdated and need to be replaced. The TV was tiny, the mini-refrigerator didn’t cool properly, the mini-coffee maker was an old pathetic model. Overall, the appliances were outdated and pathetic. Not enough outlets near the bed for phone and iPad charging. Bed: Decent king bed Sleep quality: This was a quiet room with exceptional sleep quality Bathroom: shower only with poor water pressure and a pathetic shower head. Note to Marriott- every other luxury hotel now uses shower heads that can also be hand held. Restaurants: Several on site. We had a beer and a snack at the Marina ?. WiFi: decent wifi Resort fee: The resort fee and the associated “benefits” of the resort fee is a ridiculous upcharge. For example, the free glass of wine each day is not quality wine, and the staff would not even substitute draft beer for the wine. The other resort benefits are ephemeral and I suspect most guests generally won’t use them. Pool: outside pools, too chilly to swim but they looked fairly clean. Climate control was responsive, wifi signal was excellent and there were ample power outlets throughout the room to re-charge peripherals. Bed was comfortable, the bathroom was of good size. It came with a walk-in shower that provided reasonable water pressure. Ate dinner at Roy (not recommended) and buffet breakfast at Marina Kitchen - that provided a good selection of foods but was very expensive ($38). This establishment charges a daily $20 "destination fee" that is annoying and meaningless. I thought Bonvoy had stopped this practice......Conference rooms have also undergone a refresh - they looked nice/clean, the staff were attentive, and everything worked to expectations.Show More

I booked a reservation for my anniversary and it was an amazing stay. I had the pleasure of checking in with Mari and she was kind, professional, and efficient. Mari answered all my questions and even gave me a later check out for being a Bonvoy member, she’s awesome. The room itself was great as well and bed was comfortable. The pool area is A tier!! Maybe my favorite part of the property. Lastly the buffet in the morning was also great , good variety of options while watching the NFL games. Definitely will be back.Show More
