We arrived early and were told the only way to get into a room right away was to pay for an upgrade. At the front desk, we were told this would give us a larger room on a higher floor. At the front desk, we were told this would give us a larger room on a higher floor. We ended up on the 13th floor, and honestly, it was the smallest hotel room I’ve ever stayed in — smaller than rooms I’ve had in Paris or New York. If this was the “upgrade,” I can’t imagine what a standard room looks like. It really only worked for one person, not two. The cleanliness wasn’t great either. The shower had hair from the last guest, the room was dusty, and the setup only included coffee and one cup even though we booked for two people. The pillows were very uncomfortable, and when we requested extras, we asked for three but only received one. Same with towels — asked for four, got two. Not the end of the world, but frustrating. The walls are paper thin — you can hear everything. They must know this because they provide earplugs by the bed (but only one pair, again for a room booked for two). The hotel itself is modern enough, but both the lobby and our room felt a little messy and not very well kept. The location is right off “Dirty 6th,” which we didn’t realize as first-timers in the city, and it wasn’t the vibe we wanted. Overall, disappointing. The hotel looks nice at first glance but fell short on cleanliness, comfort, and honesty about the room size. We wouldn’t stay here again.Show More

Upon arrival at around 3 on Saturday, the valet line was 10 minutes long. Valet and front desk staff were pleasant. The front desk operations were efficient. Rooms are "European small." Elevators are standard US size. The free happy hour drink "tokens" were a nice touch, although the bar staff were inefficient on both occasions when we stopped in during the evening. We also tried the attached restaurant, which was strange. All guests were required to sit on the side of the restaurant furthest from the hotel. Food and service was good tables were tiny, for two.Show More

While I understand hotels can get busy, the delays and lack of attention to detail were disappointing for a property in this range. None of these things alone would have been a big deal, but combined, they made the stay feel less enjoyable than expected. With quicker service and a bit more attention to detail, this hotel could easily live up to the great first impression it gives.Show More
