I’d emailed them twice previously for advice on where we could try and they eventually sent me a photocopy of local venues which were all coffee shops . No conversation or welcome chat just the photocopy . We were NOT told that we wouldn’t get any housekeeping at all so no towels or coffee , milk etc It isn’t acceptable to expect a guest to use the same towels for 3 nights - no beds made and no water ,milk etc Why Why wouldn’t they let us know in advance and ask us to help ourselves to towels . Why were we charged the same price as if we would receive what you’d expect from a hotel that had staff to handle any emergencies or fire procedures . No staff except the check in attendant. We were asked for a credit card to cover incidentals - they immediately took $150 from the account and we still have not received it back even after several emails which are ignored - what do the staff do all day as they never reply . On check out we were charged $21 tax and told it would be taken out of the deposit but it wasn’t it was a second deduction . We met several other travellers in New Orleans that were originally booked in at The Troubadour but were changed at last minute by their company to a different hotel due to the amount of complaints and bad service . Why isn’t the management doing anything about this as I’ll be letting my cruise company know and advise they remove it .Show More

Is close to the Superdome a...We stayed just two nights at the hotel. Price wise it is in line with local competition but we tracked a cheaper rate through a corporate discount. I like the location. Is close to the Superdome and a short walk from the French Quarter. Far enough away so if you want to escape the loudness and hustle of either are you can do it but close enough the walk is simple and doable. Has a rooftop deck we didn't visit plus hosts entertainment in the lobby also. Elevators are slow and kind of outdated and not a lot of them so during a busy stretch like Mardi Gras probably will slow you down some. The rooms are ok but fairly small. Seems like it is possibly a converted office bldg of some sorts. We were provided the smallest towels in the bathroom we've seen in a hotel lol so ask for extras. Bed was a platform bed and decently comfortable. Our room we didn't squabble but the rug was stained and the bathroom showed signs of dirty and not ideally cleaned. But overall was decent enough for a short stay. There are literally dozens of comparable hotels within a 10 min walk of this one so shop carefully and compare competitors as there are a lot of options. Overall I'd say this is an ok option but certainly not the best hotel we've seen for the price.Show More
