The hotel is overall wonderful. Its location is excellent, with easy access to the beach, shops, and restaurants. The staff are extremely friendly and always accommodating. Breakfast is delicious, with fresh and plentiful food; however, charging an extra $6 for a machine-made coffee instead of regular coffee from the urn felt a bit petty.
Some guests mentioned that despite booking a two-bedroom suite for up to four or five people, only two complimentary breakfasts were included, with an additional $25 charge per extra guest, which also seemed unnecessary.
That said, the hotel is well-equipped and provides excellent service. The lobbies, rooms, and public areas are consistently clean. The amenities, including a free shuttle to the private beach, bikes, canoes, and electric scooters, are fantastic perks—though they are covered by a daily resort fee.
Despite a couple of minor inconveniences, this hotel offers a fantastic experience with great service and amenities.

8/10 A great option in Surfside with modern rooms that can accommodate your Sabbath needs
On the whole a great hotel. We did move rooms because of noise in the first room on arrival and then requested to move to another through a very accommodating staff member. The breakfasts were excellent. We enjoyed the pool area. We liked that the hotel was perfect in accommodating Sabbath. We enjoyed the beach where the hotel offers a shuttle.

10/10 Warm & Wonderful
From the moment we were greeted by Harry the bellman at the front of the hotel, I knew we were going to have a wonderful experience. The vibe from Harry and the staff was warm, friendly, and extremely accommodating with any requests that we had. This boutique hotel was lively, modern, and the rooms were clean and well kept. We look forward to staying there again with the rest of our family.

10/10 The Altair Hotel
What a welcoming committee we had! Harry the Bellman was the first to greet us and welcome us, he helped with whatever we needed. Then the front desk staff was extremely nice, Maria & David were super! The pool area was very nice, and the food from the restaurant OVO was excellent. I highly recommend this hotel.

The food was very good and plentiful. The breakfast was extremely fresh and delicious. The rooms were clean and updated. The staff was incredibly attentive, kind, helpful and patient. All they wanted to do was ensure that we had an enjoyable stay. We hope to go back soon!

10/10 Excellent Experience at the Altair
Excellent experience. Staff were very helpful. Needed a TV fix and Engineering addressed it in a very timely manner. Grab bar in the shower would be helpful if you’re a senior or there with small kids or special needs individual. Overall, would highly recommend.

1/10 a stay that could have gone well and turned into a super negative experience!
It is not a continental hotel; I stayed on a Saturday and the breakfast was Jewish.
There was no hot food, the hot water was at the reception.
I was not notified when booking or I would not have gone to this hotel

The hotel is very good. YOU are very far from the different tourism sites.however, the location is very good, it is one of the best sites in Miami, has style and it quiet and the beaches close to the hotel are very good

In general we did not like the experience, however if I have to mention something good I'd say the size of the room and the natural light. Swimming pool had a few restricted hours but apart from that was quite quiet during the day which was a bonus.
