We were “upgraded“ to an ocean view room. It was not really an upgrade, as it was right above the pool compressor. In the sink, there was no hot water, and the hot water faucet spit out cold water, while the cold water faucet did not work. We noticed that the hose connecting the faucet to the water supply was missing, when the engineers came to look at the room, they were shocked. I don’t think anyone had stayed there in quite some time.
Here’s the real insanity, this hotel is playing Bonvoy games.
When I checked out, I didn’t receive a folio. I finally had to call Marriott a week ago to get the missing stay posted, and they opened a ticket. When I called back today to find out what had happened, I was told that the Cadillac misrepresented the service recovery points they gave me for the faucet trouble as the posting for my stay. Marriott Central reservations had to call The hotel, and ask for them to send me a folio so that I could request a missing stay.
To add insult to injury, now that I see my folio, the $50 dining credit that was included with my rate is not reflected on the folio. I called the hotel. I was put on hold forever. I cannot now get through to a human being. I hope someone from the hotel sees this review, and reaches out . I emailed the email address for guest experiences, which was in the folio email, and it bounced back as nonfunctioning. Also, I still don’t think my points posted properly.
The hotel was fine, with the exception of the time the main pool was closed because a baby took a dump in it. The best thing with the Apperol spritz at happy hour, and the accompanying hummus, which was six dollars at happy hour but $18 at any other time.
it was my second time at this hotel. There are other properties, even other Marriott properties, that are surely a better value.Show More
