On arrival, quite abrupt, to the point receptionist greeted us. Her personal phone kept ringing and she was telling it to shut up. Weired that you have to exit hotel reception area, back into the car...On arrival, quite abrupt, to the point receptionist greeted us. Her personal phone kept ringing and she was telling it to shut up. Weired that you have to exit hotel reception area, back into the car park to access the very dated lift. On exiting the lift the walkways to the rooms are outside, but covered, and has the very run down appearance of blocks of flats that you see on films, that makes you a bit anxious to walk along. The door to our room was in need of a good paint. In comparison, the room was spacious and clean. Beds weren't great but we had been spoilt by staying at The Peabody, Memphis the previous evening. Complimentary breakfast was basic with polystyrene bowls/boxes for food and plastic cutlery. All very clean though. The Capitol Hotel is very central to downtown Nashville, music bars and shops. Short walking distance. Recommend Pukkers to eat! Valet parking checkout was before hotel room checkout which was weired, but the valet attendant did allow us to keep the car there a bit longer, which was very helpful of him.Show More
