Assigned to 23rd floor, heard no train noise. Front desk was quick and professional on a very busy Thursday (Paul McCartney playing next door at Pinnacle Nashville Yards) . Room immaculate, floor to ceiling windows with excellent blackout curtains. Double sink vanity with magnifying mirror (yay) walk in shower with additional hand held spray and footrest bar (yay) nice Balmain toiletries. The bathroom sliding “barn” style door was NOT made of see through glass (Im sick of that Marriott design) It was heavy duty solid wood! The bed and bedding was some of the finest most comfortable Ive experienced- and we’ve traveled around the world and, yes, to the JW Marriott across the way. The beautiful Club made us delirious and is well worth upgrading: complimentary apps - enough to pass as dinner, as well as wine & beer from 5-7pm. Their breakfast was excellent too. It puts Marriotts M Club to shame, and as Titanium members there we have been in many. The lobby bar was jumping although we chose to go to Lou/Na bar on the rooftop. Its stunning and the largest rooftop bar we've seen with tables, couches and several fire pits outside, a large indoor bar proper with tons of couches. Props to whoever designed the space. We planned a Birthday trip for our daughter and the hotel and room I booked at the Omni for the large room and it was awful. We called the Grand last minute after we arrived and smelled our room at the Omni. And everyone at the Grand made our birthday trip so wonderful and y’all made her first time in Nashville a wonderful one. And they were able to get the connecting room so we had a big beautiful room after all. We just loved it and I can’t tell you how wonderful everyone that works there how kind they are and they take care of all your needs. But let me tell you about Ralph. He is awesome. He is the doorman and as soon as you arrive, he will make you feel right at home and all your needs will be taken care of. He will take the best care of you. I cannot say enough about how lucky y’all are to have Ralph greet all your guest as they come in cause that is the greatest experience. He ask for room # . He told me they had given 2 bottles at check in in a very disparaging tone. After a few choice words I told him to charge me for it. People like him don't belong in hospitality. Like they were going to declare Chapter 11 over a H2O! Thankfully, my server Hannah at breakfast , and others like Aaron in valet services went above and beyond as did our server at the Grange dinner service on Sunday. If I return for a stay, I'll pack H20, obviously complementary takes on a different meaning with this staff member flexing his authority at the guest.Show More
