The photos on the website must be extremely old. It shows nice cushioned lounge chairs at the pool. In actuality the loungers were just basic loungers with zero padding. The pics also show padded loungers on the beach, and while you do get two loungers and an umbrella included in your room stay, they are not padded. Yes, I understand it’s a 3rd party outfit, but the photos are false advertising. The carpeting in the hallways is grungy looking and our bathroom smelled so bad of cigarette smoke. But the thing that actually caused me to get sick was the overpowering scent that is diffused throughout the hotel. It’s so strong it makes you wonder what odor they are trying to cover up. But even with the complaints, it’s a decent hotel if scents don’t affect you. It’s centrally located and there is a trolley stop across the street that takes you down to South Beach. There is a restaurant on site and while the service is quite slow, the food is good and the servers are nice.Show More

I booked and fully prepaid my stays via Booking.com - yet was repeatedly charged again on my personal card without authorisation. What started as a simple $200 deposit turned into over $900 in extra charges on my card after checkout, despite the stay being 100% prepaid. When I asked for clarification, the front desk kept sending irrelevant screenshots instead of proof of payment release, and refused to take responsibility. State that they haven’t received the payment from Booking.com so take money immediately on your personal bank account. As someone who works in hospitality myself, I know this is not standard practice - it’s careless, unprofessional and is like theft. If you book here, watch your statements carefully, take screenshots of your prepayment confirmation, and be ready to fight for your refund. Housekeeping was basically non-existent. I asked front desk on the second day to replenish the coffee supplies and they brought fresh towels and no coffee supplies. Went to the front desk the next day and asked for enough coffee for 2 days since it was so difficult to get and was told they would see, but they don't like to do that. I did end up getting it that evening. The night before checkout I requested a replenishment that never came. I drank coffee out of the same paper cup all week and went to the store next door for cream and sugar. I paid extra for a room overlooking the courtyard and you can see the attached photos of the view. There is a courtyard, but my room didn't overlook it. The pool area is small but nice and kept clean and stocked with towels.Show More
