The room and property was beautiful. Unfortunately, there is construction near the property and it starts in the middle of the night and it’s LOUD. Our first night was sleepless listening to nonstop beeping and construction noises from 2am on. I made multiple complaints (politely) and staff could not resolve the problem. Since we were staying for 4 nights, I asked the front desk if we could move. I was offered earplugs and told that there was nothing they could do… So I asked for the manager and she said it was a full house, but could move us the next day since there will be vacancies. That day comes, and she informs me there are rooms on a higher floor with a city view away from the construction and they’d call me when the room was ready. Great! Then they never call… I return to the desk around 3pm after lunch, it’s clear my issue was never worked. They scramble to find a room, and they find something on a lower floor that is smaller - a room downgrade! I declined and stayed with my current room, hoping the next 2 nights would be quiet. They weren’t, we faced another night of loud beeping, machine whirring and banging. I made this reservation through Amex Hotel Collection, so a room upgrade is included with that and I assume the hotel is compensated for it. It’s absurd to me they couldn’t make that work at any time during our stay to help us escape the construction noise and get some sleep. I will be writing Virgin Corporate and Amex Travel next. Also, the hotel seriously needs to complain to the city and report this construction when it’s operating out of hours.Show More

So let’s start on the positive AMAZING warm welcome from the check in staff and our room was ready even though we were early which was a bonus after a drive from Memphis. The room WOW!! Amazing and spacious with a fabulous dressing area the bed was LUSH! It was huge and comfy. The rooftop was lovely, we had lunch and a drink up there and headed off out to explore Nashville. The hotel is at the bottom of broadway and so it’s so quiet but music row and the gulch are all within easy walking reach. We had a drink at the downstairs bar one evening but couldn’t sit outside as it was a private event which was annoying. So we drank and left and went out. Ok negative! Housekeeping let this down MASSIVELY! We left our light green for cleaning and the room was missed out this was the first day, I was not happy when we returned at 11pm at night to find nothing done. We let reception know the next morning. We returned that night to find they took all our towels except one and didn’t replace them. Absolutely frustrating we told reception again! The next day they replaced towels but didn’t not clean the room, we know because the bathroom Matt was on the floor. The bins hadn’t been emptied for 3 days and there were marks on the sink for 3 days! Upon check I discussed all this with the lady on reception! I absolutely wanted to give it 5 stars the housekeeping just so let this place down! I would stay again for sure as the hotel is in a fantastic location. We didn’t use the pool while there but it looked fab!Show More

We arrived in Nashville late September for a 10-night stay at The Virgin Hotel. The hotel certainly had the wow factor – they thought of everything. Our spacious and comfortable room was well-equipped...We arrived in Nashville late September for a 10-night stay at The Virgin Hotel. The hotel certainly had the wow factor – they thought of everything. Our spacious and comfortable room was well-equipped with an iron, hair dryer, hanging space for clothes, and even an exercise mat if you’re into that. The large and comfortable bed had charging points for your phone on each side, and there was a seating area if you wanted to watch TV. The dressing area had a basin with a mirror, a makeup area and a lit mirror (which is often overlooked in a man’s world), and a separate toilet and shower. The shower was fabulous – there was no fight for hot water and it was easy to adjust the temperature. The room has quality tea and coffee facilities that are topped up on a room clean or if required. You can order room service from the menu on your TV. This is a typical American hotel, so room only means eating can be pricey. We enjoyed our breakfast at the hotel, and we must mention that Marcin was a great host. The hotel has a rooftop pool with a bar that’s open to the public. The music was a bit loud for our liking (yes, I know, it’s Nashville!), but it’s a lovely space to relax from the city.
