I wish I could give this hotel a 5-star rating because the property itself was great—clean rooms, early check-in, and excellent staff. But all of that was completely overshadowed by the disgraceful ai...I wish I could give this hotel a 5-star rating because the property itself was great—clean rooms, early check-in, and excellent staff. But all of that was completely overshadowed by the disgraceful airport transfer experience. I understand the hotel uses a third-party service, but that doesn’t excuse the fact that this driver represented the hotel and made our final impression absolutely terrible.
We encountered the worst driver imaginable on the morning of checkout. We arrived at the valet around 7 a.m. to find a van already waiting. He loaded our luggage, shut us in the van, and then—without a word—sat there for about 30 minutes because another couple was joining the transfer. He never bothered to tell us why we were just sitting there like idiots.
Once we finally got to the airport, traffic was backed up, and instead of doing his job, he tried to dump us at the lower-level arrivals area, telling us to take an escalator up to departures. That is completely unacceptable—not only is it unsafe, it’s prohibited for people with large luggage. This affected us and the other couple as well. He muttered something under his breath, whipped the van around, and begrudgingly drove us to Terminal 3.
The drive itself was a nightmare. He slammed on the brakes, jerked the van around, changed lanes recklessly, and drove like an absolute maniac. The four of us were being thrown around, holding onto whatever we could just to avoid hitting the floor. His behavior wasn’t just unprofessional—it was dangerous.
This man is a terrible reflection of your hotel. He was driving a black van from Lauderdale Hotel Services, tall, gray-haired, Caucasian, and completely out of control. His road-rage attitude put all of us at risk simply because he wanted to take the lazy way out. This experience single-handedly tanked what should have been a perfect stay.Show More
