The hotel is gorgeous. The bathroom was huge and had high quality toiletries, replenished every day. The poolside area was very nice too. The breakfast wasn't at the hotel - it was at a restaurant nearby - a la carte, reasonably priced, and DELICIOUS. The restaurant at the hotel was open for lunch and dinner and also served really nice food. The cocktails by the pool - incredibly tasty. The beach was just a short walk away too. You could use the pool and the beach even after the checkout.

6/10 A Bit Threadbare for My Taste
I would rate this place as just okay. It's a smallish art deco-style hotel that feels like old Miami. It has its cool aspects, but it's a little rough around the edges. For example, the lobby feels threadbare and badly in need of updating. Hallway carpets were dingy and in need of replacement. The door to our closet couldn't be opened fully because it banged into the room door hinge, and then over three days we never got hot water in our shower, even after someone came up and gave us a tutorial on how to work the control. No room service, which was sort of a drag. The pool was okay but small and a little murky. To get towels, you have to line up at the pool bar and if someone ordered a round of margaritas before you, you waited for your towels. So no major problems, but enough small ones that we came away wishing we'd stayed at a nicer place with more updated amenities. It was fine, but I wouldn't hurry back.

9/10 Great boutique hotel in a good location
The Plymouth is a lovely boutique hotel which has kept its character rather than being ultra modernised. Saying that, it also has everything you would expect. Breakfast is excellent and although you have to walk a few minutes round the corner to a café linked with the hotel, it’s a nice walk. Room service is also available. The restaurant in the hotel is open for lunch and dinner and has a sushi and a grill menu and is also really good for both food and service. The pool area is small so if there are a couple of families there is no chance of a sun lounger or space to swim but on a quiet day it’s perfect and also very sheltered when it’s too windy for the beach. The beach is just 5 minutes walk and they have their own club area so you’re pretty much guaranteed a sun bed and towels. South Beach is a good district to be in, there’s a huge choice of restaurants, places to visit or just sit and watch the world go by.

2/10 Nope nope nope
We are actually booked to come on April, though it was a mistake on my husbands part, as this is the wrong location we need. Alas, there is a no cancellation policy. He spent several days playing phone tag with different rude and unhelpful “managers” and reservation attendants, the only helpful person was behind the front desk (sorry can’t remember her name.). We were directed to write an email and nearly a week later have not heard back (though someone will likely comment they did, it’s not true.). In another review comment they also claimed to help accommodate us with transportation for us and our kids, but all we were told is to put our kids in an Uber without car seats. Can’t wait to keep documenting our experience on social media :)

10/10 Awesome Hotel in Miami Beach!
Plymouth South Beach is a wonderful, quaint hotel. It is in a great location. Rooms are nice and bed is comfortable. Awesome shower as well. Hotel has a nice pool area and restaurant. Above all though, I want to highlight one of the hotel employees, which is Rick. I travel a lot for work, and Rick is undoubtedly the best hotel employee I've met in my 30 years. He addresses guests by name, which in itself is amazing considering how busy The Plymouth is. I've never seen a guy that works as hard as Rick does and I will definitely go back to the Plymouth because of Rick. So Plymouth Hotel management, I hope you realize what an asset Rick is to your business! Other staff were great as well. Thanks for a fun visit to Miami Beach!

10/10 Relaxing, luxurious Vibe
The stay at the Plymouth started off with a warm welcome by the bellman and the ladies at the reception. Our room was ready for early check in. Room was cozy, strong pressure in the shower and super comfortable bed.
The pool had a relaxing vibe, yet fun at the same time and the blue ribbon sushi was phenomenal.
We enjoyed the sunrise yoga and loved the ginger wellness shots that were given.
Location was perfect, and the beach was about a block away.

The location was amazing, so close to the beach and beach chairs are massive bonus! Onsite restaurant was amazing too especially the cocktails and Miami spice menu.

Nice and clean rooms. The pool area was very nice, but unfortunately the sun disappeared and it was shade already from 3PM (in January). The Japanese restaurant was AMAZING!

very clean, great staff..... very convenient location- easy to walk everywhere. beach 2 blocks away. Cool pool area...and having a great sushi restaurant in lobby was a real nice bonus! My random requests to the front desk were cheerfully granted. I'll definitely be back.

10/10 Old school Miami Art Deco meets five star contemporary style. A+
The Plymouth is such a lovely spot to stay at. Out of the crazy hustle and bustle but only a short stroll (500 metres) to the beach. We had the adjoining suite room for our family of five and it was beautifully appointed, immaculately clean and so, so comfortable. The heated pool kept our three daughters happy (and off devices!) whilst we could sit and read about on the ample sun loungers.
Food and drinks offerings were excellent through our stay. We used Room Services and also took advantage of the excellent cafe - ‘Orange Blossom’ which was a 3 minute stroll from the Plymouth front door.
The hotel restaurant ‘Blue Ribbon Sushi and Grill’ was also fantastic - always buzzing and with a great vibe and a fab Happy Hour offering. Above all, the staff at the Plymouth are exceptional. They are attentive to all your needs, sometimes even when you don’t ask! From door staff, to reception, to housekeeping - this hotel operates at a high service level. We will be back.

I couldn’t be more impressed with this hotel if I tried. The vibe was incredible, the rooms are beautiful, the service is great and it caters to every need you want from a hotel. You can keep your large impersonal hotels , this one is just fabulous!!!

8/10 Great hotel with good amenities and a very nice restaurant on site.
It had a really nice atmosphere. Looked like the images and had really nice food. It was amazing to have free beach chairs on the nearby beach, this was really convenient. The rooms were cleaned each day and the staff always seemed to time perfectly during times I was out. It felt very safe and comfortable. The room was lovely. Had all the little details that made it very pleasant like a good steam iron, a bedside tray for jewellery.

9/10 Lovely Stay with Amazing Staff!
We had a great time at The Plymouth in Miami! Our first night was a bit noisy, but the staff was so helpful and quickly moved us to a quieter room, plus we even got an upgrade, which was a nice surprise.
Everyone at the hotel was super friendly, and we loved starting our mornings at the cute café just a block away.

8/10 Stylish, chic hotel, with nice staff, but perhaps better suited to couples than families.
Nice chic hotel with friendly staff. We only there for one night while awaiting a return flight to UK. Quite a small room with the sink located in the bedroom space rather than the bathroom so not the most practical layout for a family of four. Plus the louvred bathroom door didn’t afford the most in privacy. But it was only for one night. Would have been tiresome for any longer and better suited to a couple. But room was stylish and very clean and well presented. Nice, small pool which the kids used on the morning before check out. Was great that the hotels held our bags after we checked out so we were able to go out in Miami in the day before our night flight. Staff were very friendly and helpful. No parking at the hotel, but there is a public car park a few mins walk from the hotel where you can park for $20 for 24hrs. Art Deco facade of The Plymouth is stunning if you admire architecture of this period. Lots of restaurants in the area. Would recommend for couples visiting Miami.

Fabulous location - 3 minute walk to the beach. External restaurant for breakfast was outstanding - we got breakfast included in the room rate. Saved us $20 each for breakfast and we stayed for a week. Huge comfortable bed. Air con was amazing and needed - 38 degrees in June.
15 minute walk to Lincoln Road for Shopping and restaurants
CVC shop around the corner for supplies.
The Yard bar was 20 minute walk away. Great happy hour on food from 4pm to 6pm. Over 100 beers and ales to choose from and sport shown on multiple TV screens. Air con was super cold so bring a hoody for inside.
Easy access to hiring pedal bikes. Lovely pedestrianised walkway along the beach for biking for miles.
If returning to Miami Beach would definitely stay at the Plymouth South Beach Hotel. Surpassed our expectations for the price.

Modern rooms, intimate, quiet during the day. There is no music playing by the pool, only peace. Very nice location, a little away from the hustle and bustle.
