The location is excellent—very convenient to freeways, local restaurants, and key areas...I recently stayed at this hotel while in town for work, and there are certainly some positives worth mentioning. The location is excellent—very convenient to freeways, local restaurants, and key areas throughout San Diego. It made navigating the city easy and efficient, which I appreciated during a busy trip.
However, there were a couple of areas that left me disappointed. When I checked into my room, I found that the TV wasn’t working. After a long day, I was looking forward to winding down, and this basic amenity not functioning took away from the comfort of the stay. I reported this to the front desk and let them know I was unavailable during a period of time for a work conference call for it to be fixed. Maintenance came exactly when I was on my call which shows a lack of listening and communication. Totally interrupted my call.
Additionally, I had brought some food back with me and tried to enjoy it on the outdoor patio next to the lobby—only to be RUDELY told that outside food wasn’t allowed in that area. This policy felt unnecessarily restrictive. As a guest who values comfort and convenience, especially after a long day, it would be great if the hotel could consider revisiting this rule. Allowing guests to relax with their own food in a common area—especially when they are spending time on-site—seems like a simple way to enhance the overall guest experience.
I hope management takes this feedback in the constructive spirit it’s intended. The location and potential are great, but small improvements in guest service, communication, and flexibility could really elevate the experience.Show More
