The Hotel location is excellent, one of the best walkable areas of Boston. The hotel itself is extremely old and under construction. The exterior was disappointing and had ugly scaffolding. The common areas and restaurant were fine. They have a nice bar area. The major problem was the room. We walked into the smallest hotel room I’ve ever stayed in. It was not even suitable for two people. It was dark and faced into another building so you had to keep the shades closed at all times. It was old, dusty and gloomy. There were no plugs near the bed, wallpaper was peeling off in the horribly remodeled bathroom and it had a loud broken air conditioner. You could barely move around the bed. There were no luxuries besides a coffee machine, not even a small soap. I paid over $450 a night for this. No way was this a 4 star experience. After one night we had to leave that room. I had prepaid for two nights. The hotel offered me an upgraded room. I was moved to a slightly larger room with natural light. It was cleaner. At least two people could move around this room. I believe it was a deluxe room pictured with two chairs. The room itself was fine but again old. The shades kept banging throughout the night and no easy way to charge devices. The staff was sympathetic to my situation and I did appreciate that. Unfortunately this was a very unpleasant experience and I would not return. There are so many better hotel options in Boston. Many in the same area.Show More

The room we booked originally was a king since that was our option but we really wanted two beds in the room. Dina did not hesitate to see if a room with two beds were available. She quickly told that that she could make that happen. The room was not available at the time we checked in (we were very early). She did say she would call once it was. Totally worked for us as we had a lovely lunch and did some shopping plus we love walking the city. Dina called as she said she would around 2pm (check in is normally at 4pm. Our room with two beds is perfect and very clean. The location is excellent and near all of our favorite Irish pubs and restaurants. So far 10/10. Thank you, Dina!Show More

The room was very clean and comfortable . The restaurant was amazing ! Food was delicious and service was exceptional . The hotel was beautifully decorated for the season ! The convenience of having a great breakfast spot and the best coffee was a great addition . The staff at the hotel were warm and friendly . It was the perfect place for a family trip ! Location was great too ! We were walking distance to most of the places we wanted to visit . I would definitely recommend this hotel to other friends and family going for a visit . We will definitely be back ! Oh and the price was definitely a plus !Show More

We found The Dagny on one of the hotel apps and were very excited about it. Upon check in, they took great care of us and gave us an upgraded room that was beautiful and very comfortable. We had a lovely dinner in the restaurant downstairs and a quiet and deep sleep before we had to get up at the crack of dawn for our flight. The valet had left our car right up front knowing we needed to leave early and quickly and they made everything super easy. We’d definitely stay here again and highly recommend it to anyone else looking for somewhere fabulous to stay in Boston. 😍Show More
