The food was out of this world—Chef Kevin created a menu that our guests are still raving about (months later even) Every dish was flavorful, beautifully presented, and felt so thoughtfully prepared. It was the best wedding meal we’ve ever had, and we feel so lucky that it was ours! I still crave the pasta. From the planning stages all the way through the last dance, Allison was the most wonderful coordinator we could have asked for. This was my first wedding (obviously), so I really wasn’t sure about the flow of things. She made the process stress-free, kept everything on track, and was always there with the right solution or reassurance. We felt so cared for and supported every step of the way. Shane, the general manager, was equally amazing—professional, calm, and so on top of everything. He gave us such peace of mind knowing that he and his team had every detail under control, which allowed us to truly be present and enjoy our wedding day with our guests. We also can’t say enough about Mara, Nadia, and Nelson. They were everywhere at once—keeping the evening flowing seamlessly, taking care of our guests, and, most importantly, making sure that my husband and I were actually fed (which every married couple knows is a rare gift on a wedding day!). Beyond their efficiency, it was the warmth and care they showed us that made the night feel so special. They went above and beyond to make us feel like the most important people in the room, and that’s something we’ll never forget. This venue doesn’t just provide a space—it provides an extraordinary team that makes your wedding dreams come true. We are endlessly grateful for every single person who played a part in our day, and we couldn’t imagine celebrating anywhere else.Show More

My room was beautiful, with windows onto Commonwealth, a super comfortable bed, a small fridge, and a clean/convenient bath. The elevators are some of the fastest I've seen in a hotel, which is very welcome if you have ever waited, excessively long for a hotel elevators (as I have). There's a decent fitness center, which is well-maintained and available 24 hours. There's a great coffee service at 6:30 AM every day. Staff: Where this hotel really shines is the staff. The assistant manager I spoke with, Jonathan, genuinely cares about the quality of interactions with guests, and it shows. Every single member of the hotel staff with whom I interacted was outstanding. Having worked in the catering field when I was younger, I know that to achieve such a high level of guest service, requires a dedication to training employees into a positive culture. The Hotel Commonwealth reaches exactly the right balance. They are friendly without being overbearing, and helpful without being intrusive or condescending. With a beautiful facility, and an impeccable exemplary staff, the hotel by itself is fantastic in my opinion. Add in the amazing location, which is close (few minutes walking distance) to several quite excellent international restaurants, and within walking distance of Boston University. The hotel sits right next to the Kenmore green line stop. Just down the block, there is a BlueBike hub. Could not ask for a better hotel with a better staff. Five stars.Show More

The front desk were very helpful when checking...This hotel meets all requirements for a fantastic stay in Boston, straight from the onset on arriving at the hotel we were greeted with a friendly smile. The front desk were very helpful when checking in, Nick Macdonald was most helpful during our stay, nothing was too much trouble, he was a godsend when trying to organise things to do and places to eat. Our room was spacious, clean and well maintained, the room was cleaned and the beds made daily. The view from the window showed Fenway Park and the green monster in all its glory. Getting out and about from the hotel is a breeze, Kenmore square has both buses and the green line train right on the doorstep. If you love seafood then there is the Row 34 restaurant attached to the hotel and if sushi is more your style then there is Eastern Standards blue ribbon sushi. Checking out was 12 noon and after a fantastic stay we were able to relax and wait across from reception, this had been tastefully renovated prior to our stay, it was decorated for Christmas which was a hit with everyone. If your looking for a friendly hotel then this is the one for you, I will definitely be going back. Thank you Hotel Commonwealth and your staff for making our stay a memorable one.Show More

Fortunately, there was a Dunkin' Donuts and a 7-Eleven right next door. Impossible to find parking nearby, which makes it so you have to go for the ridiculously expensive Valet Parking if you have a car.Show More
