A friend had booked out rooms for his birthday. While the hotel is still fairly new (about 4-5 years), has a fancy lift, lobby, and lounge area, there were many reasons why I would not stay at this hotel again.
My only feedback and complaint is about the room design, not the staff. Thestaff service was excellent.
First of all, the regular rooms are TINY. I know Hong kong is usually cramped for space, but for 2 people it gets really tight.
There is no circulation in the room, so one feels stuffy as the ceilings are also low. There is no way for any fresh air to come in.
You enter the bedroom through the bathroom. I found this odd. They have a glass partition between the bedroom and bathroom, so you can hear practically everything. The WC is in a separate enclosure, but there is no exhaust which again I find odd! You feel you can't breathe in that enclosure.
There is a tiny open cupboard, and space for maybe 1 suitcase. The bedside tables are tiny, with no drawers.
The curtains are automatic, but if one wants to keep them half open, that is not an option. They either have to be completely open or shut.
I know all Hong Kong bathrooms do not have a shower bidet in their toilet, but since the hotel was built recently, they should have made a provision for it. All bathrooms in South-east Asia have the facility of a shower bidet.
The bath towels are rough, when for a 5-star hotel they are supposed to be soft. th lighting is terrible! As a woman, my roommate and I could not do our makeup. They haven't even put a shaving mirror.
For the price one is paying, I think they could have had better rooms. Personally I would opt for another hotel next time I visit Hong Kong. Older hotels like Bishop Lei have separate bathrooms and more comfortable room facilities.
ONE POSITIVE POINT- The breakfast is decent (could have had more buffet options though), and the food at Terrace restaurant is fantastic! We had Japanese and were not disappointed.Show More
