Had a Doctor's Appointment for my mother and this was the closest to the Hospital we could find in a hurry. The hotel is very nice inside with the decor but I'm sorry it is not worth the stay with the...Had a Doctor's Appointment for my mother and this was the closest to the Hospital we could find in a hurry. The hotel is very nice inside with the decor but I'm sorry it is not worth the stay with the experience we had. AC was not working and the room was too warm for comfort with an old building smell and the windows would not open for air flow. Had to have maintenance bring in a fan. Then the parking situation. We arrived at night and were told at phone reservation that Valet is available but that was so not the case when we arrived around 8pm. We had to find a parking garage and walking back to the Hotel was so unsafe that we were heckled by homeless and San Franciscans under the influence. Sorry Staypineapple, the Decor alone does not make up for the unsafe area or uncomfortable room conditions. To be fare Reservation Desk did offer to move our room. However, with the room our other family members had they were kept awake by homeless yelling all night out their windows. What has happened to San Francisco!!! Sad for everyone!Show More

When booking, there was no clear information on their website about additional compulsory fees. Upon check-in, we were shocked to find out we had to pay around $40 per night for so-called “luxuries” like coffee, Wi-Fi, and bottled water refills — things that should be included in the room price. We ended up paying an extra $280 we hadn’t budgeted for, which completely ruined our first impression. The location is also a huge downside. The hotel itself is just a 5-minute walk from one of the worst areas in San Francisco. The moment you step outside, you’re hit by the smell of human waste, and the streets feel unsafe and unpleasant. Inside, the hotel looks okay at first glance, but the rooms are not clean*— the carpets and curtains were dirty, and it just didn’t feel well-maintained. The staff is completely unhelpful and uninterested in solving problems. Our AC was broken for our entire stay, and despite multiple complaints, no one bothered to fix it or even offer an alternative. The location is terrible, don’t be fooled by the good reviews. The surrounding area is full of homeless people, and it feels unsafe just walking outside. The noise level is unbearable. Every night, there was loud music from the street, and you can hear everything no matter what floor you’re on. Sleeping here is nearly impossible. Save yourself the frustration and stay anywhere else, this place is a total nightmare. I am extremely disappointed, especially after traveling all the way from the UK to celebrate my husband’s birthday. This was supposed to be a special trip, but the experience at this hotel completely ruined it.Show More

However we found that if you stayed on the hotels street and went down you were bang in the city centre and nor a million miles from fisherman's what's so the location actually grew on us. Staff in the hotel very welcoming and happy to speak to you or give directions where needed. Spotless hotel and really clean inside. Apart from the windows which were absolutely minging... But hey... We weren't in there to look out the window we were there to sleep and the bed was amazing comfortable!! All in all really nice hotel and would def return Show More
