Belleclaire has by far exceeded every expectation! My favorite part that I recognize it by now is the lovely scent in the lobby. The girls at the front desk were super warm and welcoming. They went above and beyond about asking us whether we need anything at all to make our stay more pleasant. A thoughtful little surprise was left for us in the room - a little cute box of yummy macaroons and a personalized handwritten card to welcome us and wishing us a great stay! We had a great pleasure of meeting the GM of the hotel, Mr. Luidin De Los Santos who was very kind, helpful, very knowledgeable and just an absolute great pleasure to speak to as well as help us with any questions. The boutique style size of Belleclaire and its atmosphere has caught my attention right away. It is very cozy yet stylish all at the same time. Our room was immaculate! Very clean and up to my standards as I am personally a clean freak :) Bed sheets were perfectly crisp and white, towels plush and pleasant to the skin. The view out of our window was stunning with lots of trees changing colors for fall. The on-site breakfast next door connected to the hotel at a cute little cafe was a daily highlight—fresh, delicious and with a Parisian touch. While the room...Our daughter is attending college in NYC and this hotel was recommended to me by a friend. I've now stayed twice at Hotel Belleclaire, once in a one-bed room and once in a two-bed room. While the rooms are small, the furnishings are luxurious, beds, pillows & sheets are cozy and the shower is bright and airy. Of course, what will continue to bring me back to Hotel Belleclaire is the location, staff and delicious patisserie attached to the hotel. And apparently a big bonus for my children, a LUSH store on the other side. One- the location in the Upper West Side. It's right in the middle of great restaurants, boutique gyms like Solid Core and Soul Cycle, two blocks from the subway and conveniently across the street from a CVS. It feels safe and swanky. Also, just a few blocks from Central Park and the Natural History Museum. Two- the staff. Cydney, at the front desk, went above and beyond (so cliche but honestly, this is 100% accurate) to accommodate our family of four during our two nights there. Every interaction with the staff- doormen, luggage retrievers and cleaning women- were pleasant and courteous. Third and last- the patisserie. It is delicious! You get a $10 voucher per person which feels like a rarity in NYC and the food does not disappoint! My favorite which I had almost every day was the smoked salmon breakfast sandwich (which I'd also eat at lunch). Plenty of beautiful french baked goods and the coffee is so much better than Starbucks. I'll be coming back every time!Show More

This is my first time staying with Hotel Belleclaire and it won’t be the last! I had stayed at a variety of other hotels the last week and had to switch multiple times because they did not meet my needs, this one feels like home. I had originally booked my stay for just one night and ended up extending my stay 2 more nights! Maria helped check me in, and because of availability I was able to check in early and when I extended my stay I was assisted by Maria at the front desk who was instrumental in meeting my request to stay in my same room. Upon check-in at the hotel I received 2 vouchers, which are good for pastries, or anything at the cafe, and also redeemable for drinks in the lounge bar. The hotel is centrally located to multiple restaurants, cafes and fitness activities as well as a block from 72nd MTA station for the subway to get you anywhere in Manhattan. It’s a few blocks from Central Park and the west side waterfront. I can’t wait until my next visit to NYC. Thank you Maria, as well as all the front desk staff, valet, housekeepers, and hotel management for making this place what it is; an Oasis of hospitality in the Upper West Side.Show More

The hotel is charming, with the character you would expect but with modern touches. I booked the Standard Full Bed room, which while might be tight for two, was surprisingly spacious for a solo guest. The room was spotless and comfortable. I was especially pleased to see a hardwood floor instead of the usual tired hotel carpeting. The bathroom has a large shower with great water pressure, and full-sized bottles of lotion, shampoo, conditioner, and body wash. If you don't want to miss streaming your favorite shows, Google Chromecast is available on the TVs. Upon check-in, guests are given $10 vouchers to use at Mille Feuille Bakery, which is right next door. The location is great for exploring the city, as a stop for the number 1 subway line (79th Street) is about a three minute walk. But there is plenty the immediate neighborhood has to offer with great restaurants, and Central and Riverside Parks nearby, respectively. The staff was friendly and helpful, I can't say enough about them. My stay was a very pleasant one, and I look forward to returning in the future.Show More
