The AC has a real thermostat that you can set a temperture and fan speed, not just blas either hot or cold air. Having stayed at several hotels in New York, this is by far my favorite.Show More

Located just steps from the wonderful Washington Square Park in a stately building, this hotel is full of character. The lobby is very pleasant, there is an area in the back of the lobby with drinks and tables and couches if you need to hang out. The breakfast room downstairs is nice. The staff were very helpful both during my stay and before we arrived -- they answered many questions for us. Our room on the 9th floor was small but the bed was comfortable and we could open the windows to get fresh air and cool views of the skyline. The towels were plush and there was enough space around the sink for all the toiletries. I wish there were plugs on both sides of the bed, though.Show More

The very welcoming and helpful staff made it a pleasure to stay there. The rooms were comfortable and immaculate, the beds were very comfortable, and the bathrooms were modern, with great showers. The subway stop is right around the corner, next to a wonderful grocery store, making it an ideal base for exploring the city. The only negative, in my opinion, is the continental breakfast (meh!) Other than that, it was the perfect place to stay. Kudos to the very hardworking staff.Show More
