We were in town for an overnight trip to go to a Broadway show. We had 4 people in our party and booked a two bedroom room. The room accommodations were adequate and met our needs for an overnight stay. My only small issue with the actual room was that it was a bit stuffy and humid, however we were able to adjust the thermostat and crack the window. Some ascetical updates wouldn't hurt, but we had what we needed and the beds were comfy.
I liked the fact that a keycard was needed for the elevators as it made us feel safer. The main lobby was wonderful and had more than enough seating including large seating options to stretch out on if you needed to wait. The two very minor complaints of the lobby/common spaces would be that the music was very loud and the temperature was a bit humid/hot/stagnant, especially in the lobby restroom.
A couple of very positive parts of our experience were the front desk staff ( a very friendly gentleman whose name I unfortunately cannot recall) as well as the bell man who was very pleasant and helpful. One of the best aspects for our situation was the very reasonably priced option to leave our bags with the bellman both before check in and after check out. I felt as though our luggage was safe and it made our trip much more manageable. The cost was only $2-3/bag and well worth it. The cafe attached was very good as well and the baristas very friendly.
Something I wish I would've seen sooner was the QR code in the elevator with a list of food service options so look for that if you are traveling soon.
I think the price was reasonable considering NYC is not cheap. I feel we found a place that was well deserving of their price and in a very convenient location for our needs. If I go for another show I would most definitely book here again.

3/10 Beware - This is not a 4-star hotel
There is nothing there to like about this hotel. It seems they just put up some curtains/decoration and 'fancy' looking sofas at reception and they call it a 4 star hotel, however, this is not the case.

4/10 Underwhelming/disappointing
It was run down. The tap came loose in the bathroom and had to go and get someone to come look at it. They left again and a maintenance guy came and looked at the floor wet and said he needed that cleaned up first. 10 mins later another guy came to the door and handed me 4 towels without saying a word then left again. I had to leave the room to go and find someone again and I as met with someone coming to see me to say I was being moved room. Every single person I interacted with couldn’t be any less interested if they tired. Terrible staff and a dump. Least the sheets were clean.

4/10 Such a shame !
Would have loved to give a positive feedback for a hotel with so much potential and great location.
However unfortunately not, very dated
No cold water , room had a loud AC unit which didn't work room was boiling hot!
Water drained very slow in bath and sink which left lots of water in both anda rancid smell coming from sink afterwards the plug hole in sink was open just a big hole with no cover.
Such a shame, wouldn’t recommend and for just a small difference in amount you can get a much nicer hotel literally yards away.
The fact they charge you storage of luggage says it all to us for customer value and care

6/10 1st trip to NYC
Stayed at the Paramount as part of a first trip to New York. Location very good just off times square. The hotel has no facilities in the room for making a tea or coffee. There were some noisy industrial building fans which made sleep difficult even though we were a few floors up from where the fans were situated. The bar prices were very high, even for the area. There was a small gym which had some decent machines and 3 treadmills. The shower bath could do with an upgrade and there was no hanging space in the room as the space that was supposed to be there was very limited due to a room safe.

2/10 It’s a hostel not a hotel
What a shambles of a hotel. Walking in you can immediately see it needs a complete refurb. After stopping there 15 years ago and having amazing memories it is now a 1 star hotel or comparable to a hostel. I arrived to my very hot room with air con broken and tv not working . When i called reception someone came 2 hours later and found that there was no wire in the tv and then asked me to download a universal app for the remote as that didn’t work either .
It became laughable and the lack of care was apparent. Location good but sleeping on the street would be as good

7/10 Great Location, Adequate Hotel
Can't beat the location if you're in town for the theater. The loud music and heavy scents in the lobby are a little off putting. Rooms with single beds have doors facing the elevators. Ear plugs are a must and often weren't enough. Rooms and beds are comfortable enough. Bathrooms could use an upgrade or at least new grout and more thorough cleaning.

4/10 Amazing location, hotel not great.
Lightbulbs were out, sink and water was broken, furnace struggled to regulate and breaker was tripped, and bed spring was broken and ripped through the bedding and cut the back of my leg. There was no toilet paper in the room and the entire place smelled smokey and dank.

The stay was amazing. The only issue was the heat was stuck on in our original room, and it was very hot. However the staff was amazing about getting is a new room quickly and upgraded our room for the inconvenience. All in all I will stay there again.

I had to switch rooms at 3am due to the toilet overflow the tub full of water the sink full of water and the TV not working, had to use the bathroom across the street at the bar, never again will I recommend this hotel
